Multi-target applications
I recommend you watch MAX session where Matt Snow and Ali Ivmark are talking about applications that scale across devices: desktop, mobile, tv. They are talking a little bit about new platform Adobe is offering code name NITRO.
NITRO is a platform to design, build and deliver Flash widgets on multiple screens.
The definition of a widget is a small single purpose application that’s written in Flash, that an end user can place on the Web, the Desktop, on TV, on the Mobile Devices and is sharable.

Truly Multi-target application Finetune. They have a ton of their applications on different platform (desktop, Nokia, iPhone, set-top box, finetune running on a Wii).

Sony’s Picture widget which lives on a website.

If you have NITRO already enabled on your desktop, you can just take this web widget and drag it directly onto the desktop.

Adobe Widget Marketplace where you can see all widgets developers create and be able to have a community around them, rate them and talk about them.

Nitro TV Prototype with widgets on the TV(sidebar view).

I am really excited about this new platform. I can’t wait to get my hands on it and develop some cool widgets for TV.
Make sure you watch presentation on Multi-target applications.
